Plotsquared Multiverse

20:27:17 WARNING Multiverse-Core Failed to get the default chunk generator: java.lang.NullPointerException 20:27:17 WARNING Multiverse-Core This is a bug in PlotGen, NOT a bug in Multiverse! Last edited by ForgeUser326984: Apr 4, 2013. I used to really love PlotSquared as it always just worked and had such thorough documentation, but the new paid v5 version doesn't even meet that expectation. Some of the documentation for v5 is just the outdated V4 documentation (which is good if you're a V4 user I guess) and doesn't even relate to V5, and V5 is full of bugs and issues too.

Hey, many serverowners have the problem that PlotSquared not regenerate all roads, if you use the inbuild command /p regenallroads. In this little tutorial i will show you, how to create your own custom plotworld in seconds without any chunkerrors or else. All what you need is the basic knowlege of serveradministration. PlotSquared PlotSquared is a land and world management plugin. It includes several highly configurable world generators. You can create plots of land in existing worlds.

Introduction

Stake your claim to your very own plot in the UniversalCraft Plots server! Let your imagination run wild as you build freely in creative mode complete with flying mode and WorldEdit fully enabled. You can even merge adjacent plots together if you need even more room to complete your design masterpiece.

We use the very latest “version 5” of the highly regarded PlotsSquared plugin to bring you a great “plots” experience at UniversalCraft. We have also installed the optional Plots2Dynmap plugin extension as well so details of owned and unowned plots are included in the dynamic map for this server shown below. This should make it much easier to find an unclaimed plot in a nice neighborhood

There is no Nether or The End on the UniversalCraft Plots server.

Server Configuration

Plotsquared Multiverse

When running the PlotSquared world creation wizard, we used the following values so as to create much larger plots than normal:

Generator: PlotSquared
World type: normal
Plot height: 32
Plot width: 70
Plot block: minecraft:stone
Plot floor block: minecraft:grass_block
Top wall block: minecraft:stone_slab
Wall block (claimed): minecraft:sandstone_slab
Place or not the top block: true
Road width: 16
Road height: 32
Road block: minecraft:gray_concrete
Wall filling block: minecraft:stone
Wall height: 32
Plot bedrock generation: true

The Plots server has the following modified configuration values:

bukkit.yml

allow-end: false

server.properties

allow-nether=false
gamemode=creative
spawn.npcs=false
spawn-animals=false
spawn-monsters=false

Welcome to PlotMe wiki.

  1. Put PlotMe-Core.jar and PlotMe-DefaultGenerator.jar in your plugins folder
  2. Run your server to generate the PlotMe folder
  3. Feel free to change settings in the config.yml file in that folder
  4. In the PlotMe folder, there will be another folder by the name of PlotMe-DefaultGenerator. Open that folder and feel free to change the generation settings in the config.yml file.
  5. Use the command, /plotme reload, to reload the settings.

The world names in the config.yml files must be in lowercase! That is extremely important.
You must have your worlds defined in both the Generator config and the PlotMe config.

Creating a PlotWorld with Multiverse

  1. Set the generator for your world in the bukkit.yml file as shown below
  2. Use this command, /mv create {NAME} normal -g PlotMe-DefaultGenerator, to generate a Plotworld

Creating a PlotWorld without Multiverse

This is very simple. All you need to do is add the following code snippit in your bukkit.yml file. The following snippit is only an example and should be adapted based on names you set for your plotworlds.

Bukkit.yml Settings

If it doesn't work

In rare cases, Multiverse can fail loading your plotworld. To make sure this doesn't happen, it's safe to add the bukkit.yml settings as shown above

Upgrading from PlotMe 0.13 to PlotMe 0.15.x or 0.16.x

Plotsquared Multiverse Theory

  1. If you haven't done so already, stop your server
  2. Delete your PlotMe.jar file from your plugins folder
  3. Download the newest PlotMe version from Spigot
  4. Unzip the folder and move PlotMe-Core.jar and PlotMe-DefaultGenerator.jar to your plugins folder
  5. Upgrading to the new generator if you do not have Multiverse or MultiWorld:
    • Open your bukkit.yml file
    • For each plotworld, change the generator name from 'PlotMe' to 'PlotMe-DefaultGenerator'
  6. Upgrading to the new generator if you do have Multiverse or MultiWorld:
    • Open the worlds.yml file found inside the Multiverse or MultiWorld folder.
    • For each plotworld, change the generator name from 'PlotMe' to 'PlotMe-DefaultGenerator'
    • If this does not work, copy and paste the bukkit.yml information from the setup page in your bukkit.yml file.
  7. If you modified the PlotMe config file or renamed the jar files, you did something wrong.
  8. If you completed all the steps above then you should be able to run PlotMe 0.15.2 or 0.16
